Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 6 to 12 years; 2. Children scheduled to undergo diagnostic gastroscopy under deep sedation or general anesthesia without endotracheal intubation; 3. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification I–II.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Presence of congenital heart disease, recent upper respiratory infection, asthma exacerbation, or epilepsy; 2. Allergy to any of the experimental anesthetic agents used in the study; 3. Receiving treatment for underlying disease with surgery duration exceeding 30 minutes.
