18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age: 18–80 years. 2. Diagnosis: Confirmed ulcerative colitis with no other co-existing diseases. 3. Informed consent: Willing to sign the informed-consent form and accept the purpose and procedures of the study. 4. Healthy subjects: Free of systemic or chronic diseases and meeting criteria (1) and (3) above.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe comorbidities: Presence of serious cardiovascular, hepatic, renal, or other diseases that could interfere with the study. 2. Recent surgery: Patients who have undergone any other major surgical procedure within the past 6 months. 3. Oncologic therapy: Patients who received chemotherapy or radiotherapy within 6 months before study entry. 4. Psychiatric disorders: History of severe mental illness or cognitive impairment that compromises comprehension of or participation in the study. 5. Pregnancy or lactation: Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding during the study period.
