Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Experimental Group 1 Clinically diagnosed with sacral canal cysts (confirmed by imaging findings and clinical symptoms); 2 Presenting with sacral nerve injury symptoms, including pain in the perineal region, lumbosacral region, and extremities; urinary/bowel dysfunction; and sexual dysfunction; 3 Having complete preoperative and postoperative clinical data as well as imaging data; 4 Intra-operatively confirmed to have nerves encapsulated within the cysts; 5 Underwent microscopic cyst resection at Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital; 6 Completed a postoperative follow-up of at least 3 months. Control Group: 1 Clinically diagnosed with sacral canal cysts (confirmed by imaging findings and clinical symptoms); 2 Presenting with sacral nerve injury symptoms, including pain in the perineal region, lumbosacral region, and extremities; urinary/bowel dysfunction; and sexual dysfunction; 3 Having complete preoperative and postoperative clinical data as well as imaging data; 4 Intra-operatively confirmed to have nerves encapsulated within the cysts; 5 Underwent cyst puncture and filling therapy at Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital; 6 Completed a postoperative follow-up of at least 3 months.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1 Concomitant other spinal surgeries performed during the same period (e.g., discectomy, spinal canal decompression); 2 A history of radiotherapy in the sacral canal region, traumatic surgery, or other conditions that result in severe disruption of local anatomical structures, which affects surgical operation and postoperative evaluation.
