18 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 18–85 years; 2. Meets the 2023 global definition of ARDS; 3. Intubated and deeply sedated on invasive mechanical ventilation; 4. Expected ICU stay >= 7 days; 5. Internal jugular or subclavian central venous catheter in place for treatment; 6. Voluntary participation with signed informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Body mass index (BMI) > 35 kg/m²; 2. Severe hemodynamic instability (e.g., mean arterial pressure 0.5 µg/kg/min); 3. Currently on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO); 4. Contraindications to electrical impedance tomography (EIT): pacemaker implantation, thoracic deformity, unstable spinal injury, or open chest wound; 5. Pregnant or lactating women.
