Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Retrospective cohort inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who received treatment at Peking University First Hospital, Peking University First Hospital Miyun Branch, Emergency General Hospital, or Beijing Jian Gong Hospital between January 2000 and September 2025; 2. Histopathologically confirmed ureteral fibroepithelial polyp; 3. Voluntary participation and provision of written informed consent. Prospective cohort inclusion criteria: 1. Age between 18 and 90 years, regardless of sex; 2. Presenting with or without symptoms such as flank pain or hematuria, undergoing routine diagnostic evaluations—including ultrasound, contrast-enhanced CT of the urinary tract, magnetic resonance urography (MRU), intravenous pyelography, urine cytology, urinary fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), cystoscopy, or ureteroscopy—leading to a preliminary diagnosis of ureteral polyp, with final histopathological confirmation of ureteral fibroepithelial polyp via surgery or biopsy; 3. Voluntary participation and provision of written informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Histopathological diagnosis of inflammatory polyp or polypoid hyperplasia; 2. Polyps located in the bladder or urethra; 3. Patients who underwent non-polyp-related surgery for other diseases and were incidentally found to have fibroepithelial polyps on postoperative pathology; 4. Patients who refused surgery or declined data collection; 5. Patients with contraindications to anesthesia or surgery, such as decompensated cardiac, pulmonary or hepatic dysfunction, severe bleeding tendency, or poorly controlled diabetes mellitus.
