Right-sided block group:Inject 3mL of 0.8% lidocaine on the right side twice a day for a total of 5 days
Bilateral alternating block group:Inject 3mL of 0.8% lidocaine alternately on both sides twice a day for a total of 5 days.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18-70 years, regardless of gender; 2. Meeting the diagnostic criteria for insomnia according to the Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Insomnia [8]: difficulty falling asleep (sleep latency >30 minutes), accompanied by daytime symptoms such as fatigue, head distension, and dizziness caused by sleep disturbances; impaired sleep maintenance (nocturnal awakenings >=2 times per night), along with early morning awakenings; total sleep time 7 points; total score of the AIS >4 points; total score of the ISI >7 points; 4. Voluntary participation in this treatment with written informed consent provided.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Coagulation dysfunction, severe hepatic or renal insufficiency, or other serious systemic diseases; 2. Presence of carotid plaque(s); 3. Abnormal blood pressure, bradycardia, cardiac conduction block, or severe cardiopulmonary dysfunction; 4. Skin infection at the puncture site; 5. Education level below primary school or inability to comprehend the content of assessment scales used before and after treatment; 6. Contraindications to lidocaine use.
