Intervention 1 group:Virtual reality-enhanced intervention co-designed educational video, which educate patients about what to expect on their day of surgery and visualise the operating room environme
Intervention 2 group:Virtual reality-enhanced intervention distraction video, which includes immersive natural scenes with concurrent music without educational components
Control group:Usual care

18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Surgical patients attending Nurse Pre-anaesthetic Assessment Clinic (NPAC); 2. Age aged >=18 years old; 3. American Society of Anesthesiology (ASA) physical status ASA I or ASA II; and 4.Able to communicate in Chinese

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Have a cognitive, communication or physical impairment precluding their ability to complete the study; or 2.Prone to epilepsy or other neurological conditions
