Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: patients with carotid plaques who underwent dual-energy CTA and healthy controls without plaques; more complete clinical examination data (e.g., lipids, glucose, homocysteine, etc.); and clear clinical manifestations (e.g., with or without history of stroke or TIA).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Other serious comorbidities affecting the study analysis (e.g. acute inflammatory disease, malignancy); poor image quality or inability to perform dual-energy parametric analysis; and those with missing clinical data.
