Conditions

Traumatic spinal cord injury typically presents with motor, sensory and autonomic nerve dysfunction below the injured spinal segment. The symptoms include quadriplegia or paraplegia, decreased or lost sensory function, abnormal position and vibration sensations, as well as urinary and fecal incontinence.

18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Mainland Chinese citizens, aged 18 to 70; 2. Spinal cord injury caused by trauma (C4-T12); 3. ASIA spinal cord injury grade A-D; 4. Duration of illness within 6 months; 5. Cooperate to complete the follow-up.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe systemic diseases; 2. Joint contractures; 3. Contraindications for magnetic resonance imaging, electrophysiology and transcranial magnetic stimulation (such as: presence of metal prostheses other than titanium alloy, heart stents, spinal stimulators in the body); 4. Diagnosed with mental disorders or epilepsy; 5. Spinal cord injuries caused by myelitis, multiple sclerosis, or spinal tumors; 6. Complicated with bleeding disorders or coagulation dysfunction; 7. Individuals with osteoporosis and a high risk of pathological fractures; 8. Poor compliance, or unable to correctly understand and cooperate to the extent that they cannot complete follow-up.
