Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Comminuted fracture of the inferior pole of the patella; 2. AO/OTA 34-C3 patellar fracture with more than three displaced fracture fragments, displacement of at least 3 mm, and articular incongruity of 2 mm; 3. Minimum follow-up period of 12 months; 4. Age >= 18 years.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Open fracture of the inferior pole of the patella; 2. Pathological fracture; 3. Patients with a history of previous patellar surgery; 4. Patients with a history of previous patellar surgery;According to the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (AO/OTA) classification, radiographs (anteroposterior and lateral views) and CT scans were systematically obtained to assess fracture characteristics.
