Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: I. Target Population Practicing orthodontists engaged in clinical orthodontic work in mainland China, specifically including three categories of individuals: Full-time orthodontists in public or private medical institutions; Orthodontists in the orthodontics department of general dental hospitals; Residents in standardized training programs (specializing in orthodontics). II. Core Inclusion Criteria Professional Qualification Requirement: Must hold valid Certificate of Physician Qualification and Certificate of Physician Practice, with the scope of practice including orthodontics. This ensures that participating physicians possess legal professional qualifications for orthodontic diagnosis and treatment. Clinical Experience Requirement: Must have independently completed at least 10 fixed orthodontic cases (to be confirmed by self-report). This guarantees that participating physicians have a certain foundation in clinical orthodontic practice and can accurately provide feedback on multi-disciplinary treatment (MDT)-related capabilities. Informed Consent Requirement: Must voluntarily participate in this study and sign the electronic informed consent form. This fully protects the subjects' right to informed consent and autonomy in participation. Technical Accessibility Requirement: Must be able to use a smartphone or computer to complete the online questionnaire. This ensures smooth participation in the data collection process and avoids impacts on the acquisition of research data due to equipment or technical issues.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: I. Quality Control Exclusion Failure to pass the basic orthodontic knowledge screening questions, such as answering questions related to core basic orthodontic theories incorrectly (e.g., Angle classification, basic cephalometric measurement questions); Questionnaire completion time of less than 180 seconds, which is regarded as an invalid response in the study; Duplicate submissions from the same IP address, in which case only the first complete record submitted is retained. II. Professional Competence Exclusion Less than 6 months of clinical practice experience in orthodontics, such as newly recruited physicians who have not yet conducted independent consultations; Primary practice field not being orthodontics, such as physicians specializing in other dental fields like implantology or prosthodontics. III. Data Integrity Exclusion The specific situation is that the missing rate of key variables exceeds 20%, such as failure to complete core assessment modules like SCS (Dental/Periodontal Module) or CPBS (Temporomandibular Joint Module). Explanation of Key Abbreviations SCS: The abbreviation for the Dental/Periodontal Module in the study, which is used to assess the research subjects' multi-disciplinary treatment competence in the dental and periodontal fields. CPBS: The abbreviation for the Temporomandibular Joint Module in the study, serving to evaluate the research subjects' multi-disciplinary treatment competence in the temporomandibular joint field. MDT: Short for Multi-Disciplinary Treatment, a core concept in this research referring to the collaborative diagnosis and treatment approach involving multiple medical disciplines.
