Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Course of post-stroke aphasia between 1 to 3 months. 2.First-ever ischemic stroke confirmed by cranial CT or MRI, with a single lesion located in the left cerebral cortical hemisphere. 3.Single lesion and first stroke episode, with a course of 1 month; 4.Diagnosed with aphasia according to the Western Aphasia Battery (WAB); 5.Aged between 50 and 75 years (inclusive); 6.Native Chinese speakers with normal language function prior to stroke onset; 7.Education level of primary school or above; 8.Right-handed; 9.No history of language impairment prior to stroke; 10.Fully informed about the procedures of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) and neuroimaging scans involved in the study and have signed the informed consent form;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Presence of visual or auditory impairments that affect language assessment or treatment. 2.Impaired consciousness or inability to cooperate with assessments and interventions. 3.History of language impairment prior to the current stroke, or presence of severe dysarthria during this episode. 4.Coexisting neurodegenerative diseases causing speech impairment, such as dementia, Parkinson's disease, or motor neuron disease. 5.History of epilepsy, substance abuse, or psychiatric disorders. 6.Presence of metallic foreign bodies in the body or implanted electronic medical devices (e.g., pacemakers, cochlear implants).
