Interventions

Virtual reality combined with strength training group:Each time virtual reality training and unsteady plane strength training are conducted
Virtual Reality Group:Only conduct virtual reality training

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) College students who can speak Chinese and complete the questionnaire survey; (2) Have experienced a relatively severe ankle sprain with pain, swelling and inability to perform normal lower limb functions for more than one day; (3) Have experienced at least two episodes of ankle instability within six months (such as foot inversion during walking without developing into a sprain); (4) Score <= 27 on the Cumberland Ankle Instability Tool (CAIT); (5) Voluntary participation of the subjects themselves and the need to sign the informed consent form in person.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Had lower limb injuries and acute ankle sprains within 6 weeks prior to recruitment; (2) Had undergone lower limb injury surgery or suffered from fractures within one year; (3) Had received ankle-related training in the past half year; (4) Were part of a group with specific diseases (such as sarcopenia, rheumatoid arthritis, neurological disorders) and pathological/tissue-specific conditions (such as plantar fasciitis, abnormal gait caused by high arches); (5) Had difficulty with 3D perception or were unable to accept virtual reality scenarios; (6) Had movement contraindications and were unable to complete exercise interventions; (7) Had a history of drug or alcohol abuse.
