Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >=18 years; 2.Patients with a confirmed diagnosis of community-acquired pneumonia; 3. Diagnosis of severe pneumonia according to the 2019 ATS/IDSA guidelines.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Age <18 years; 2.All or a significant portion of the electronic medical records were missing or the number of missing laboratory indicators exceeded 30% during the hospitalization; 3.Human immunodeficiency virus infection, hematological neoplasms, and organ transplantation; 4.Severe neuropsychiatric disorders; 5.Recent partial lung resection or major surgical interventions; 6.Death, transfer, or discharge from hospital within 24 hours of hospital admission.
