Group T1:A standardized protocol was employed for the selection of music stimuli to ensure consistency throughout the music-listening intervention.
Group T2:Music stimuli were individually tailored in accordance with each participant’s preferences to optimize the efficacy of the music-listening intervention.
Group C:Blank control: participants received standard care only, without any additional intervention.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Adults aged 18–65 years; 2. A pain score >=40 on the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), indicating moderate-to-severe pain; 3. Restricted to post-orthopedic surgical patients only.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with cognitive impairment, to prevent compromise of their ability to comprehend and participate in the study. 2. Patients with hearing impairment, to avoid interference with the efficacy of music-based interventions. 3. Patients with severe organic disorders of the heart, lungs, or liver. 4. Patients concurrently enrolled in other pain-management trials, to obviate the confounding or additive effects of additional therapeutic regimens.
