Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with benign renal tumors and venous tumor thrombus who are scheduled to undergo robot-assisted surgery at our center; 2. Age of 18 years or older; 3. Radiological findings consistent with a benign renal tumor (e.g., containing homogeneous extracellular fat with CT attenuation values less than -20 HU, and no significant enhancement of the fat component during the contrast-enhanced phase on CT; MRI fat-saturated sequences showing signal intensity equivalent to that of intra-abdominal or subcutaneous fat) OR a preoperative biopsy confirming a benign renal tumor (e.g., oncocytoma, angiomyolipoma, leiomyoma, metanephric adenoma, etc.); 4. Absence of any clinical evidence (including imaging, biopsy pathology, serum tumor markers, etc.) suggesting malignancy or distant metastasis.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Previous ipsilateral renal surgery or anticipated severe perirenal adhesions; 2. History of a concurrent malignancy in another organ system; 3. Radiological evidence suggesting severe adhesion of the tumor thrombus to the venous wall or venous wall invasion; 4. A large primary tumor on preoperative imaging deemed unsuitable for nephron-sparing surgery; 5. Underlying medical conditions conferring high operative risk; 6. Any other contraindications to robot-assisted surgery.
