Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: *Heart Failure Patients I. Meet the diagnostic criteria for heart failure (based on the *Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Heart Failure 2024* \[3]); II. Aged 18–80 years, regardless of sex; III. NYHA functional class II to IV; IV. Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) < 50%; V. Have received at least 2 weeks of standardized heart failure medication treatment. *Healthy Controls I. Aged 18–80 years, regardless of sex.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: *Heart Failure Patients (Exclusion Criteria) I. Heart failure caused by congenital heart disease, acute heart failure, or heart failure following acute myocardial infarction; II. Planned to undergo coronary revascularization or cardiac resynchronization therapy within 8 weeks; III. Patients with myocarditis, aneurysm, left ventricular outflow tract obstruction, or unrepaired valvular heart disease causing significant hemodynamic changes; IV. Patients with cardiogenic shock, uncontrolled malignant arrhythmias, second-degree type II or higher sinoatrial or atrioventricular conduction block without pacemaker implantation, progressively worsening unstable angina, or acute myocardial infarction; V. Patients with concomitant pulmonary infection, malignancy, psychiatric disorders, or severe hematologic, neurologic, or endocrine diseases; VI. Patients with severe primary liver or kidney disease, or severely impaired hepatic or renal function; VII. Patients with uncontrolled hypertension (systolic BP =180 mmHg and/or diastolic BP =110 mmHg); VIII. Participation in other drug clinical trials within the past month; IX. Pregnant or lactating women, or those planning to become pregnant. *Healthy Controls (Exclusion Criterion) I. History of heart failure.
