18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Meets DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for a depressive disorder, without psychotic features; 2.Chinese residents aged 18–65 years, of either sex; 3.Educational attainment of at least primary school; 4.Has been on a stable, single antidepressant regimen for >= 2 weeks; 5.Voluntarily participates and provides written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Severe physical illnesses (e.g., cardiac or renal insufficiency, epilepsy, endocrine disorders); 2.Comorbid psychiatric disorders (e.g., bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance dependence); 3.Previous or current use of creatine or other related nutritional supplements; 4.Abnormal renal function (serum creatinine or blood urea nitrogen outside the normal range); 5.Pregnant or breastfeeding women.
