Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with newly diagnosed ankylosing spondylitis (AS) at our institution, fulfilling the 1984 revised New York modified criteria. 2.Aged 18–60 years. 3. Complete pre-treatment radiographic documentation of the pelvis/hips (X-ray, CT, and/or MRI). 4. Comprehensive baseline data, including:Demographic characteristics: sex, age, body mass index (BMI); Clinical parameters: symptom duration, comorbidities;Inflammatory markers: C-reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR);Genetic marker: HLA-B27 status;Disease activity/function scores: Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index (BASDAI), Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Functional Index (BASFI).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Missing critical variables (e.g., unmeasurable neck-shaft angle [NSA] or incomplete baseline data). 2. Concomitant hip disorders (including but not limited to hip osteoarthritis, femoral head necrosis, hip dysplasia), prior history of hip trauma/surgery, or severe osteoporosis/metabolic bone disease. 3. Comorbidities such as active malignancy, organic heart disease, renal insufficiency, or diabetes mellitus, or long-term glucocorticoid use due to other systemic conditions.
