Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The enrolled subjects were patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty, aged 65–85 years, with ASA physical status I–III and a body mass index (BMI) of 18.5–30 kg/m².
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria comprised patients with chronic pain, opioid use within 24 hours preoperatively, allergies to ropivacaine or butorphanol, coagulation disorders, infection at the puncture site, severe systemic diseases, or refusal to participate.
