Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients scheduled to undergo non-cardiac surgery under elective endotracheal intubation general anesthesia at Haikou People's Hospital. 2. Age >= 60 years, regardless of gender. 3. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification of I to III. 4. Body Mass Index (BMI) between 18 and 30 kg/m². 5. Provision of written informed consent by the patient or their legally authorized representative. 6. Ability to comprehend the study procedures and content of the assessment scales, and to communicate effectively with the research staff.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe cardiopulmonary insufficiency. 2. Severe hepatic or renal dysfunction. 3. Chronic use of sedative or analgesic medications. 4. Pre-existing severe neurological or psychiatric disorders. 5. Preoperative use of antiepileptic or antipsychotic drugs. 6. Pre-existing conditions that may affect serum NFL levels, such as multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, dementia, encephalitis, demyelinating diseases, motor neuron diseases, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, traumatic brain injury, etc. 7. Auditory or visual impairments that preclude effective communication. 8. Unwillingness or inability to cooperate due to subjective or objective reasons. 9. Coagulation disorders. 10. Presence of cognitive impairment as determined by preoperative MoCA-B (Montreal Cognitive Assessment-Basic) or MMSE (Mini-Mental State Examination) scale scores.
