Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Subjects are between 1 and 12 years old; 2. All subjects have chronic mouth breathing lasting more than 3 months; 3. Endoscopy and nasopharyngeal lateral X-ray confirm that the airway obstruction rate is more than 60% with or without tonsil hypertrophy; 4. Collect swabs from the surface of adenoids for bacterial culture; 5. By obtaining intact lobular tissue in the central region of the adenoid, including the mucosal area, B-cell germination center, T cell area, and medullary area, it is convenient to observe the comprehensive structural changes of the adenoid.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with acute infection, pneumonia, autoimmune disease, Henoch-Schoenlein purpura, immunodeficiency, craniofacial malformations, previous adenoid/tonsil surgery, or incomplete documentation.
