Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Age >= 16 years; (2) Expected length of stay after admission >= 48 hours; (3) Sign the informed consent form

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients transferred to the ICU for observation (to avoid confounding factors associated with routine postoperative monitoring); (2) Terminal illness (expected survival =30% (e.g., electronic medical records lacking MEWS scores)
