Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. The subjects were 12-20 years old (inclusive) and of both sexes 2. a history of joint symptoms (including clicking, pain, limited mouth opening, etc.); 3. Clinical examination of the appearance of mandibular retrusion 4. Angle Class II malocclusion with ANB > 4° 5. TMJ MRI showed anterior displacement of TMJ disc with reduction 6. no history of orthodontic treatment 7. Those who did not participate in other clinical verification within 3 months 8. no acute infectious diseases, psychiatric disorders, or systemic diseases 9. The informed consent was signed by the guardian or the person
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. History of functional appliance treatment 2. orthodontic and/or orthognathic treatment history 3. contraindications to MRI examination 4. Primary dentition 5. patients with mental illness 6. patients who are unable to cooperate with treatment 7. congenital or developmental diseases, systemic diseases, infections, jaw fractures and other diseases causing disc displacement or condylar resorption;
