Experimental group:This study requires the EIT electrode belt to be wrapped around the thoracic cavity of the test group patients (between the 4th and 5th intercostal spaces, above the diaphragm plane
for female subjects, it may be slightly adjusted upward to the 3rd–4th intercostal spaces). The tightness of the electrode belt should ensure that the contact impedance remains below the instrument's

18 Years to 120 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Admitted to ICU; 2. Age >=18 years old; 3. Diagnosed with respiratory failure; 4. Requires mechanical ventilation for more than 24 hours
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Contraindications for EIT (pacemaker, automatic implantable defibrillator, chest or spinal cord trauma, recent thoracic surgery); 2. Severe hemodynamic instability; 3. Pregnancy
