Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Exposed group (de-acclimatized Han population returned to low-altitude areas after long-term high-altitude residence); 1)Aged between [50-70] years. 2) People who resided at an altitude of 3500 meters for over 20 years but later returned to low altitudes. 3) Long-term residence in low-altitude areas (= 3 years in the future). 4) Normal expression and comprehension abilities, capable of understanding questionnaire content. 5) Reliable, cooperative, and willing to comply with all procedures stipulated in the agreement. 6) Signing of the informed consent form. 2.(2) Non-exposed group (long-term residents of plains); 1) Aged between [50-70] years. 2) Populations who have been permanent residents in plains (altitude <= 500 meters) for 20 years or more. 3) Normal expression and comprehension ability, being able to understand the contents of the questionnaire. 4) Reliable, cooperative, and willing to comply with all procedures stipulated in the agreement. 5) Signing of the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Exposed group (de-acclimatized Han population returned to low-altitude areas after long-term high-altitude residence); 1) Individuals with a history of plateau residence for 6 months or more within the past year; 2) Patients with knee osteoarthritis of K-L grade III and above; 3) Patients with nonvertebral fractures; 4) Patients with secondary osteoporosis, including: Type 1 diabetes (insulin-dependent), adult-onset osteogenesis imperfecta, untreated long-standing hyperthyroidism, hypogonadism or premature menopause (less than 45 years old), chronic malnutrition or malabsorption, and chronic liver disease); 5) Patients with rheumatoid arthritis; 6) Patients who are currently taking oral adrenocortical hormones or have taken oral adrenocortical hormones for more than three months; 7) Malignant tumor patients; 8) Other situations judged by researchers as ineligible for inclusion. 2.(2) Non-exposed group (long-term residents of plains); 1) Individuals with a history of residence in high-altitude areas for 6 months or more within the past 5 years; 2) Patients with knee osteoarthritis of K-L grade III and above; 3) Patients with nonvertebral fractures; 4) Patients with secondary osteoporosis, including: Type 1 diabetes (insulin-dependent), adult-onset osteogenesis imperfecta, untreated long-standing hyperthyroidism, hypogonadism or premature menopause (less than 45 years old), chronic malnutrition or malabsorption, and chronic liver disease); 5) Patients with rheumatoid arthritis; 6) Patients who are currently taking oral adrenocortical hormones or have taken oral adrenocortical hormones for more than three months; 7) Malignant tumor patients; 8) Other situations judged by researchers as ineligible for inclusion.
