Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Age >= 60 years; 2.ASA (American Society of Anesthesiologists) classification I–IV; 3.Undergoing major orthopedic surgery (hip replacement, knee replacement, or hip fracture surgery); 4. Receiving general anesthesia or neuraxial anesthesia (e.g., spinal/epidural anesthesia).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Pre-existing hematologic, autoimmune diseases, active infections, or advanced malignancy; 2.Severe preoperative dysfunction of the heart, lungs, kidneys, brain, or other major organs; 3.Pre-existing complications related to the outcome measures; 4.High-energy traumatic injuries (e.g., car accidents, falls from height, or crush injuries); 5.Previous radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or immunosuppressive therapy before surgery; 6.Other surgeries unrelated to postoperative complications; 7.Medical records with >20% missing data.
