Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult patients aged 18 to 80, classified by American College of Anesthesiologists as I to III, plan to undergo elective unilateral total knee arthroplasty under general anesthesia.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Contraindication to a nerve block, other connective tissue diseases affecting the knee, allergy to local anesthesia, sciatic pain, hepatic and renal insufficiency,body mass index (BMI) higher than 40 kg/m2, use of anticoagulant drugs, age 80 years, inability to comprehend or cooperate to perform this study and refusal of regional block .
