Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Aged 55–79 years. 2.Long-term residents of urban districts in Beijing with complete community health examination records. 3.Stable body weight and blood pressure in the recent period. 4.Mentally competent to complete questionnaires independently. 5.No use of medications affecting water-electrolyte metabolism (e.g., diuretics [including thiazides], antihypertensive drugs, or glucocorticoids). 6.Capable of self-care. 7.No history of acute infections or surgeries in the recent period.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Individuals with severe kidney disease or chronic disorders in acute exacerbation phase (based on community health records). 2.Acute infectious diseases or acute cardiovascular/cerebrovascular events within the past month. 3.Major surgeries within the past 3 months. 4.Inability to consume water or food normally. 5.Presence of cognitive impairments, dyslexia, or severe psychiatric disorders. 6.Severe diabetes mellitus, hypertension, or regular use of medications affecting renal metabolism. 7.Elderly individuals with communication barriers due to language, hearing, or other reasons.
