Gold Standard:Positive microbial culture of drainage tube head, implant, tissue and cerebrospinal fluid should be excluded from bacterial contamination and colonization.
Index test:Heparin-binding protein in cerebrospinal fluid

18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Age >= 18 years; 2 Scheduled for elective craniotomy; 3 Requiring postoperative ventricular drain or scheduled ventricular/lumbar puncture for cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) sampling; 4 Provision of signed informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Diagnosed with active infection within 6 months (including pneumonia, central nervous system infection, etc.); 2 Immunosuppressed status (e.g., use of immunosuppressant medications, chemotherapy); 3 Comorbid hematologic disorders, diabetes mellitus, or organ failure.
