Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 55-75 years old (inclusive); 2. Right-handedness, verified by the Edinburgh Hand Hand Scale; 3. One or more cognitive domains are impaired, and the most significant and earliest is episodic memory; 4. The rest must meet one of the following three conditions: first, the score of both neuropsychological assessments in at least one cognitive domain (memory, language, or executive function) is less than 1.0 standard deviation (SD); second, the score of one neuropsychological assessment in each of the three cognitive domains (memory, language, or executive function) is less than 1.0 SD; and third, the score of the Functional Activity Questionnaire is >=9 points. The SD-based cut-off values used in this study refer to published studies in the Chinese population and have been adjusted for education and age.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Meet the diagnostic criteria for vascular dementia formulated by the National Institute of Neurology and Stroke and the Swiss International Association for Neuroscience Research (NINDS-AIREN); 2. Modified Hachinski ischemia scale score > 4 points; 3. Those who cannot cooperate with cognitive function examinations (including blindness, deafness, severe language impairment, etc.); 4. Drug or alcohol dependence in the past 6 months; 5. Participating in other clinical studies; 6. Combined with diabetes mellitus or severe cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, liver disease, kidney disease and mental illness; 7. History of epilepsy, history of idiopathic epilepsy in first-degree relatives and use of epileptic-causing drugs; 8. Those with skull defects at the TMS stimulation site; 9. There are implants in the body, such as pacemakers, artificial metal heart valves, insulin pumps, drug therapy pumps, aneurysm clips (except non-paramagnetic ones such as titanium alloys), etc.; 10. Those with claustrophobia and those who cannot cooperate with MRI examination; 11. Use of antidepressant, anxiolytic, sedative and other cortical stimulant drugs within 3 months before cognitive assessment or during treatment; 12. Have used drugs that affect cognitive function or participated in other clinical drug trials; 13. Geriatric Depression Scale score >=6 points.
