80 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 80 years; 2. Nasotracheal intubation with mechanical ventilation = 48 hours; 3. Difficult weaning with respiratory muscle dysfunction.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Absence of respiratory muscle dysfunction; 2. Pre-existing neuromuscular disorders (e.g., myasthenia gravis) or use of neuromuscular blocking agents during the study; 3. Chest or rib fractures; known anatomical abnormalities of the diaphragm or abdominal muscles; 4. Contraindications to diaphragm/abdominal electrical stimulation, including: History of thoracotomy or laparotomy; Pneumothorax or pneumomediastinum; Active pulmonary tuberculosis; Pleural adhesions;Implanted cardiac pacemaker; 5. Hemodynamic instability; 6. Inadequate imaging window for diaphragm/abdominal muscle assessment due to: Unhealed thoracic/abdominal wounds; Elevated intra-abdominal pressure.
