Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. According to the 2017 European Symposium on Periodontology consensus, the patients were diagnosed with stage III-IV periodontitis; 2. No non-surgical periodontal treatment within six months; No periodontal surgery was performed within 12 months; 3. 18 to 75 years of age, able to self-or immediate family members to sign informed consent;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe systemic diseases (cardiovascular, renal, diabetes, autoimmune deficiency syndrome, hepatitis, etc.); 2. Patients who had taken antibiotics, steroids, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs within the past 3 months; 3. A family history or history of a neurological disease such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, stroke, stroke, etc. 4. The patient had a history of oral medication and surgery within the past 6 months; 5. Patients with mental illness who are unable to cooperate with treatment; 6. Smoking history, pregnant and lactating women, and orthodontic treatment may affect the composition of oral microbiota;
