Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Children aged between 5 and 8 years old, classified as ASA I and II categories. Children with at least one asymptomatic deep carious lesion in the oral cavity that requires indirect pulp therapy under local anesthesia. Or children with retained primary teeth, where the degree of looseness of the retained primary teeth is less than two, and who need tooth extraction under local anesthesia.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Children with a history of painful and invasive medical or dental procedures, or with a record of poor dental behavior. Children with a history of epilepsy or autism. Children requiring sedation and/or general anesthesia management. Children with specific anxiety disorders, those with a score greater than 25 on the "Childhood Anxiety Disorders Screening Questionnaire" [MCDAS(f)-r].
