Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -Age range 18-65 years. -ASA classification I-II. -Proposed elective surgery under general anesthesia; -BMI 18.5 - 28kg/m^2; -No abnormal preoperative serum magnesium.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -Patient refusal to participate; -perennial alcohol addiction, long-term use of drugs affecting mental status (e.g., sedatives) and monoamine oxidase inhibitors; -combined psychiatric and psychological disorders resulting in impaired cognitive function; -Comorbidities with severe hepatic dysfunction (e.g., Child-Pugh class C) or abnormal renal function (e.g., preoperative dialysis); -Patients with hypersensitivity to perioperative use of drugs (especially benzodiazepines); -Patients with neuromuscular diseases; -Persons who have been using magnesium preparations for a long period of time; -Pregnant or lactating women; -Patients with poorly controlled hypertension (SBP > 180 mmHg); -Patients with a history of stroke; -Arrhythmias, preoperative left ventricular ejection fraction less than 30%, sick sinus node syndrome, severe sinus bradycardia (< 50 beats/minute or atrioventricular block of degree II and above with pacemaker.
