Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Confirmed diagnosis of drug-resistant focal epilepsy (DRE). 2.Age range: 18–50 years. 3.Normal intellectual function (Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale score >= 90). 4.Adequate communication skills and ability to cooperate with experimental task paradigms; 5.Normal or corrected-to-normal vision. 6.Right-handedness (Edinburgh Handedness Inventory confirmed). 7.Eligible physical examination, laboratory tests, and neurological assessment. 8.Provision of written informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Extensive structural brain abnormalities on MRI (e.g., tumors, encephalomalacia). 2.Positive genetic disorder history, prior neurosurgical interventions, or significant head trauma. 3.Comorbid neurological/neurodevelopmental disorders or active psychiatric conditions. 4.Seizure episodes within 24 hours preceding testing. 5.Color blindness/deficiency confirmed by Ishihara testing. 6.Other clinically significant contraindications per investigator assessment.
