Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. People with elevated blood sugar: (1) Impaired fasting blood glucose (IFG): fasting blood glucose >=6.1 mmol/L and =7.8 mmol/L and =7.0 mmol/L; (2) OGTT 2-hour blood glucose > = 11.1 mmol/L; (3) Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) > = 6.5%; (4) Diagnosed with diabetes and receiving hypoglycemic therapy (medical records or medication evidence required).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Unable to provide informed consent: including those with cognitive impairment, unconsciousness, or no guardian to sign the consent form; 2. Type I diabetes mellitus (T1DM): subjects with confirmed or suspected T1DM based on clinical diagnosis (insulin-dependent onset ketosis tendency) and laboratory tests (glutamate decarboxylase antibody/GAD-Ab positive); 3. Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM): hyperglycemic status first diagnosed during pregnancy; 4. Secondary diabetes: after pancreatectomy, Cushing's syndrome, other clear secondary factors (such as long-term glucocorticoid use, hemochromatosis, etc.); 5. Patients with severe comorbidities: (1) End-stage renal disease: estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) =5 years); (3) Mental illness that cannot cooperate with follow-up: including major depression, schizophrenia and other diseases that prevent the completion of questionnaires or examinations.
