Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Aged >=18 years, transferred to ICU after non-cranial surgery (such as thoracic and abdominal surgery, orthopedic surgery, etc.); (2) Mechanical ventilation with an expected ventilation duration of >=6 hours; (3) Agree and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Skull defect or poor penetration of TCD acoustic window; (2) Severe circulatory failure (norepinephrine dose >= 0.3 µg/kg/min); (3) Intracranial hemorrhage, cerebral infarction; (4) Abdominal compartment syndrome; (5) Oxygenation index less than 150mmHg; (6) Pregnancy; (7) Pneumothorax, mediastinal emphysema, pulmonary bulla; (8) Failure to sign the informed consent form.
