Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Chronic Non-Specific Neck Pain (CNNP) is defined as neck pain or discomfortable lasting for more than 3 months, caused by various factors without specific pathological findings, signs, or symptoms. It is characterized by chronic pain on the posterior and lateral sides of the neck, between the cervical spine and the spinous process of the first thoracic vertebra. Inclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosis meeting the above criteria for Chronic Non-Specific Neck Pain (CNNP); 2. Males or females aged 18–75 years; 3. Visual Analog Scale (VAS) score =3 cm and Neck Disability Index (NDI) score =10 points; 4. Right-handed.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria are as follows: 1. Specific cervical diseases, such as radicular cervical spondylopathy, myelopathic cervical spondylopathy, spinal slippage, spinal fractures, thoracic outlet syndrome, etc.; 2. History of whiplash injury and/or head and neck trauma; 3. Pregnancy or breastfeeding; 4. Neck pain radiating to the upper limbs; 5. History of severe trauma or cancer; 6. Clinical treatment for neck pain within the past 3 months; 7. Pain in other parts of the body, such as low back pain, knee pain, etc.; 8. Inability to cooperate with the study procedures.
