Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age>=18 years old; 2. ASA class I or II, no contraindications to anesthesia; 3. Lumbar disc herniation in a single segment on computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Severe medical or psychiatric disorders; 2.History of previous lumbar surgery or recurrent herniation; 3.Active infection, neoplastic disease, allergy or coagulation dysfunction; 4.Underlying diseases or comorbidities contraindicating surgical intervention; 5.Patients with spinal deformities, severe lumbar spinal stenosis or spondylolisthesis.
