Stroke-Associated Pneumonia

Interventions

Respiratory muscle training (RMT) group:RMT was performed twice daily for continuous 2 weeks using a threshold load training device (BlueWhale?, XEEK Medical Device Co., Ltd., Xiamen, China). The comp
the sham RMT group: In the sham RMT group, the threshold load was set at 10% of MIP or MEP, which was deemed as an invalid load.

18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age >= 18 years old, first stroke, meeting the diagnostic criteria for stroke-associated pneumonia; moderate to severe stroke disability, NIHSS score 5-35 points; able to understand instructions and comply with treatment arrangements; informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Severe intracranial hypertension, CT indicating brain herniation formation; uncontrolled hypertension; acute myocardial infarction, angina pectoris or acute heart failure within the past 3 months; persistent chronic pulmonary diseases, such as asthma, COPD, etc.; severe facial paralysis or orofacial apraxia.
