Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: A total of 400 elderly patients (age 65-80) from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University who were going to undergo major surgeries such as general surgery, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, and urology were selected to have basic mobile phone operation ability.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded if they were unable to provide informed consent. Patients with preoperative cognitive impairment. Patients with preoperative central nervous system disease. Patients’ illiteracy, inability to communicate in Chinese, severe visual/hearing impairment or other communication disorders; preoperative radiotherapy/chemotherapy for malignant tumors; preoperative severe hepatic/renal insufficiency; intraoperative awareness; family refusal to participate; patient withdrawal due to physical/other reasons; failure to use the planned anesthesia/surgical method; scheduled second surgery within 5 days after the initial surgery; postoperative ICU admission. Time of training less 3 hours.
