Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1 Patients diagnosed with Graves' disease and treated with methimazole or propylthiouracil; 2 Agranulocytosis diagnosed during medication or within 7 days of drug withdrawal, with an absolute neutrophil count < 500/µL, or expected to decrease below 500/µL within 48 hours. 3 Neutrophils return to normal within one month of discontinuation of methimazole or propylthiouracil;
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1 Agranulocytosis that had occurred before medication; 2 Anticancer chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or immunotherapy within 1 month of onset of agranulocytosis; 3 Diagnosis of ongoing infections with viruses such as EBV, HAV, HIV, CMV, or ongoing sepsis confirmed prior to the diagnosis of agranulocytosis; 4 History of hematological or systemic diseases (eg, myelodysplasia, aplastic anaemia, systemic lupus erythematosus); 5 Received other medicines commonly involved with agranulocytosis (eg, clozapine, sulphonamides, penicillin).
