60 Years to 90 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants will be recruited if they meet the following inclusion criteria: (1) nursing home-dwelling elderly aged 60 years and older, (2) meeting with the AWGS 2019 screening criteria for sarcopenic elderly, (3) capable of ambulating independently (with or without assistive devices), and (4) willing to provide informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria are as follows: (1) current signs of infection, (2) hip or knee replacement, (3) moderate-to-severe cognitive impairment, (4) surgery in the past six months that hinder physical activity, (5) a history of hip fracture, (6) ethanol consumption exceeding 60 g/d, (7) serious mental illness impairing mobility, (8) uncontrollable hypertension, heart failure, neuro-muscular diseases, cardiovascular disease, or pulmonary illness.
