Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Meet the diagnostic criteria for depression in the fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM - V) and be enrolled after being diagnosed by the attending physician. (2) Have not taken psychiatric medications or received any form of psychotherapy for at least 1 month, and have not undergone physical interventions such as transcranial magnetic stimulation or electroconvulsive therapy without anesthesia in the past 3 months. (3) Have no history of other substance abuse. (4) Be aged between 18 and 45 years old. (5) The patient and their family members sign the informed consent form. (6) Have normal hearing and normal or corrected vision, with normal or corrected vision, no strabismus or other eye diseases, myopia less than 500 degrees, and astigmatism not exceeding 200 degrees. (7) Have received at least 9 years of education and be able to accurately understand the content of the experiment. (8) Score more than 20 points on the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI - II); have a standard score of less than 50 points on the Trait Anxiety Inventory (TAI).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) History of severe physical diseases, history of organic brain diseases or brain injuries; (2) History of manic episodes of bipolar disorder, history of schizophrenia, or presence of other psychotic symptoms; (3) History of abuse of other substances such as alcohol and drugs.
