Interventions

Opioid-based anaesthesia:An opioid-based anesthetic strategy. Anesthesia was induced with sufentanil (0.3 µg/kg) and midazolam (2 mg), supplemented with propofol (1–2 mg/kg) and rocuronium (0.6 mg/kg)
Opioid-free anaesthesia:A non-opioid anesthetic strategy. Anesthesia was induced with dexmedetomidine (loading dose 0.6 µg/kg over 10 min), esketamine (0.3 mg/kg), propofol (1–2 mg/kg), and rocuronium

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Aged 18-85 years; 2.scheduled for knee arthroplasty; 3.ASA physical status I–III; 4.agreed to use a PCA; 5.BMI 18–30;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with severe cardiopulmonary or neurological comorbidities; 2. severe hepatic/renal dysfunction; 3. allergies or contraindications to study-related anesthetics; 4. communication barriers or active psychiatric disorders; 5. pregnancy or lactation; 6. peripheral vascular disease.
