Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who are currently or have been admitted to the ICU and have been hospitalized for >= 7 days; 2. Patients met the muscle strength assessment criteria of the Medical Research Council (MRC) for ICU-AW, that is, MRC score 24 h; 3. Patients were aged 60 to 80 years; 4. Patients had stable vital signs, clear consciousness, and were able to communicate effectively; 5. Patients were able to tolerate relevant treatments; 6. Patients had informed consent and were willing to participate in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients whose condition is unstable and may deteriorate at any time; 2. Patients with a history of neuromuscular diseases or related diseases that affect muscle strength, such as stroke; 3. Patients with immunosuppression or long-term use of hormones; 4. Patients with congenital limb dysfunction or those who need limb fixation; 5. Patients with malignant tumors; 6. Patients with severe anemia or malnutrition; 7. Patients with coma, severe cognitive impairment and drowsiness; 8. Patients with contraindications to MRI/DXA or existing musculoskeletal diseases that make it impossible to detect.
