Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged >=18 years at the time of data collection. 2. Diagnosed with depressive symptoms based on electronic medical records. 3. Have complete laboratory test results, including serum magnesium levels, fasting triglycerides (TG), and plasma fasting glucose (FPG). 4. Medical records contain relevant demographic and clinical information (e.g., age, sex, height, weight, hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease, smoking, and alcohol consumption).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Missing essential data (e.g., serum magnesium, triglycerides, fasting plasma glucose); 2. Patients with unclear diagnosis; 3. Presence of severe organic diseases (e.g., end-stage renal disease, malignant tumors); 4. History of magnesium supplementation therapy; 5. Pregnant or lactating women.
