Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Unilateral or bilateral non-traumatic anterior knee pain, provoked by at least two of the following activities over the past three months: prolonged sitting, stair ascending/descending, squatting, kneeling, jumping, or running; 2. Tenderness on palpation of the medial and/or lateral borders of the patella and a positive patellar grind test; 3. Average pain intensity over the preceding week rated as at least 3/10 on the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. History of knee injuries such as meniscal, tendinous, or ligamentous injuries; 2. Self-reported history of patellar subluxation or dislocation; 3. Any complex pathology of the lumbopelvic-hip region; 4. Knee surgery within the past year.
