Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18 years or older; 2. Diagnosed with stage IIIB or stage IV non-small cell lung cancer confirmed by pathology, with no other cancer diagnosis within the previous year; 3. A current Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group Performance Status (ECOG-PS) of 0–2; 4. Chinese able to communicate in Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese; 5. Conscious and alert.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Suffering from a condition that hinders exercise performance (e.g., active neurological disorder, recent heart attack, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease); 2. Engaging in regular exercise, defined as at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise per week; 3. Scored 7 or higher on the contemplation ladder (preparation, action or maintenance stage).
